IWD:EE version 2.5 was rolled out today, about 6 hours ago. It's a huge patch with a lot of changes. I'm not a regular user of GOG for newer games so I'm not sure on how long it takes them to roll out updates. Anyone have any general idea of how long it should take for the patch to come out? Patiently waiting as best I can because I'm itching to play the newest version with all its changes.

It could be a day or two, a week, or never. Usually if we don't get the patch after a week and a half, it means that the devs have abandoned there GOG version.

What will be really interesting to see in this case is if Beamdog adds achievements. The 2.5 patch added Steam achivements to the game, however all the other Beamdog D&D Enhanced Edition games (Baldur's Gate 1, 2, + SoD, and Planescape Torment) have achievements on the Steam versions of the game, but never had GOG achievements. In the case of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, GOG Galaxy achievements weren't a thing yet when those games were released, however Planescape Torment released with achievements on Steam, but not on GOG.

This is a time that if Beamdog wants to make things right, they can do so starting with Icewind Dale EE, and offer real platform parity.

It says on Beamblog that the update is coming across all platforms and stores. That includes GOG as well. So we are getting it, but may have to wait for it a little bit.
It's been confirmed for GOG. And GOG has a different certification process, that explain why there is a delay
Remember in the old days when you could just download a 13.5 MB patch from a dodgy mirror website and run InstallShield Wizard?
I do remember when there were a time when no update was necessary. Internet didn't exist back then, and you had to connect to a BBS to get something.

But still waiting for the 2.5 patch.
Maybe gog should start to create a really good installer toolchain for the devs, like the praised toolchain of itch.io ... maybe their customers (aka we) wouldn't be notorious the LAST ones receiving bugfixes and new features ... I'm so pissed off by that, I started to redeem steam codes on games I backed on KS or fig and buy the games on steam if they aren't oldies. Sometimes they even end up here by gog connect. Well, this proves bad toolchains also hurt business.

Whilst i very much appreciate the info in this post, it is marked as a solution, but tbf it doesn't answer the OP's question of when the 2.5 update will hit GOG, so hardly 'solved'.

It was answered. Just not with an 'official' answer.
I watched last fridqay stream from Beamdog. Didn't get everything, but there was a delay in the Apple store and GOG store. I think something was wrong in patch or something like that, so that might explain de delay.

The official word is that the patch is out on all platform for IWDEE only. Now why GOG is taking that long to update the game, this I don't know
I never bitch about delay on GOG's patches since most of the time it's only 1-2 days but now it's almost a week and no one cares about giving us any explanation and I'm starting to get pissed.
I have sent in a ticket. Hopefully we can see some resolution on this, or at least some news or info.
