Hey guys.. just got IWD tonight, & was wondering if there are any necessary mods (such as fixpacks, etc) that I should know about?

Likewise the IWD Fixpack is highly recommended, and is also at Gibberlings 3, as is Icewind Dale Item Upgrade. Icewind Dale NPCs can be found at Pocket Plane Group.
And if you're interested, there's the Icewind Dale in BG2 conversion, beta but fully playable, at G3. The G3 Fixpack, Item Upgrade, Unfinished Business and Tweak Packs are compatible with it, and IWD NPCs has a version for it.
