So I recently got off my ass and figured out how to apply some fan mods/patches for Planescape: Torment, Arcanum, and Icewind Dale 2.
Planescape and Arcanum had very helpful guides here on GOG to help with installing the mods. ID2 doesn't seem to have any such guide. But the widescreen mod (Bigg's) offered for Planescape is also compatible with ID2, so I installed it and the game looks much better. However, the UI is off centered, with a black box on the right side of the screen. Arcanum and Planescape had the same problem, but they each had separate mods that fixed the UI so it was centered properly.
Now I've looked and the only possible solution I could find is this here: http://havredest.eklablog.fr/interfaces-pour-widescreen-a42876917
It's a mod that claims to do exactly what I need, but it doesn't seem to work. It gives error messages after installing that I believe are warnings of missing or improperly installed files. Retrying or re-installing the mod doesn't work, and ignoring the warnings means the mod doesn't work. Also, the entire mod is in French. So that makes it kind of hard really figure out what the problem is, let alone fix it.
So now I turn to you fine folks. Is there a mod, in English, that actually works to solve this problem I have? Something to center the UI so it fits in widescreen, and maybe even make the text bigger so it's a little easier to read?
