jsidhu762: Hello everyone!

What do you folks think about the Fell Wood maze?

I personally find it irritating and it doesn't add anything to the game itself. It's just pointless busy work.
I like the general idea of the puzzle and the somber atmosphere of the forest, but I think it is too big. As you say, it starts to feel frustrating/repetitive after a while.

It shows that they made this game in comparatively very little time, and "cheated" a bit by increasing the length of the game via repetition rather than variety.
(Another example of this is the monster placement - some maps have an annoying number of similar mobs to fight through.)

Haha well I wanted to create this topic but I found this one - I lost my nerves many times in this crazy maze - it is simply too long and a bit boring - I loke logical stuff but this is simply useless.

jsidhu762: Yeah, they don't really give you many clues to figure it out. You are given instructions, but that's only useful at a certain point in the woods. You have to guess your way there.
The wilderness lore skill can help you find your way.

Overall, it's the worst part of a chapter that's nothing but filler. The entire premise chapter makes no sense to begin with since there's no reason why you wouldn't stay with Oswald. Going through the Underdark makes even less sense, and the proposed rationale for needing to avoid the mountain passes is quite frankly contrived. What's worse, it would have been downright trivial for the writers to have improved the entire segment by changing it into a "looking for allies" quest.
I finally passed Fell Wood with help of hint from Huntmaster from Wandering Village - I placed items on every location which helped me to pass through this forest - but it was not easy and funny :D Hope I go further.

There could be some choices in the game - player could decide which way he wants to go - at least two posibilities ... that could make game much more fun i think.
