anyone knows how to make eax work with Icewind Dale Complete? It works fine with BG1 but I cant make it work with IWD1.

I have it enabled at IWD config, set it up with creative alchemy but once I launch the game it crashes right at launch

My specs are:
Win 7 x32
Nvidia GTX 295
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty

It seems IWD1 has issues with Alchemy (I managed to get working EAX on some games using it) - it crashes on my PC as well:
Windows 8 Release Preview 64-bit
GTX 670
X-Fi MB2
OpenAL 2.1.0.0

does not crash for me, but with the EAX option turned on for Icewind Dale Complete, i could not tell any difference as yet.

If you have a Realtek soundcard, get a utility from from them called 3DSoundBack. It is perpetually in Beta. but is easy to use; just point to the executable, activate it, and then you'll find, on many games, EAX will work! I found it about 8 years ago when I was looking to run the original Thief in EAX, and I have been using it successfully ever since. As I say, for the whole 8 years, it's been in Beta, but i've never had any problems with it, and I have about 28 executables activated using it right at this moment!
