For some reason, although I have the golden plus character in my character portraits, I cannot level up? I've just started the game and it's infuriating! Not cheating, downloaded from GoG (Dad's PC), using a necromancer (drow) and a paladin (human) - any feedback would be very much appreciated, the only related article I could find on the net was
'it's locked in v. 2.01'. No help.

I go to the character inventory screen and see no option to level up?!

Many thanks fellow GoG'ers

Love that name. I'm taking it he's a cleric lvl 1?
Looks more like a Sorcerer from his stats. With a name like that, he's got to be an Evocation specialist.

No, he's a sorcerer from CapitanGarlic's LP. Here's his bio:

"I am Heronius Napalm V, esq., and if that proves too troublesome for you I suppose I could let you off with "sir." Anyway, I came to Icewind Dale because mother wouldn't stop going on about how we need a man to live up to the Napalm name, and how my brother Ignatius simply wasn't going to cut it. Bothersome nonsense, really, but I got on board this boat to quiet the old gal. I suppose I'll just have to show these ne'er-do-wells the true meaning of fantastic. Speaking of: My shipmates are...quite the bunch. There's one ridiculously pretty elf who I think is trying to bed me. I was flattered at first, but then a rather tomboyish young lady (who persists in threatening my genitalia with harm) told me the elf was actually a man. Embarassing business, that. There's a pair of half-orcs on board too, one who fancies himself a spellcaster (the nerve!), and one who seems content with screaming, drinking, and breaking things. There's also one of those "free-love" hippie types you hear so much about. Don't know about that one.

All in all, a decent set of subordinates, for the time being."
I'm sure you saw the lone female of the group's name is Clobberella. LOL. Classic!

And a hippy moon elf bard called Pip Prancerson. The guy's got imagination alright. :)

I actually used the Avatar Series' heroes(Kelemvor, Midnight, Cyric, etc) to form my party of four. xD
Cenie - look at the little disc of buttons (Map, Inventory etc.) in the bottom right of the screen. The centre bottom one is a piece of paper and a quill pen (and looks like the Journal from BG2). Run the cursor over it and it says 'Character Record'.

Left click that, and you'll find the screen that Hickory's post points you to. Click the Level Up button, and the rest should work itself out.
Hey guys and girls who wanna start a new IWD2 game with me on hardcore with 27/28lvl chars... or smaller or bigger :) ?
