It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

ReynardFox: So is there confirmation the uncensor patch works on the GOG version? Maybe it's obvious but I'd just like to hear "Yes, I've tested it and it works 100%" before I plop down my simoleons.

Kardwill: The workaround (wouldn't call it a patch since it's just creating an empty text file) seems to work. Although launching the game is somewhat sluggish (like a 10 sec delay at launch) after that.
Yeah the steam version always had the same issue.

Thought it was just me.
Sad that the art files are censored too but at least it's here.
PSA for mac users. The patch does NOT work if you simply place it alongside the app with the GOG Version (installed using galaxy at least).

To make it work, you must right click on the app, select show contents.
Then, navigate to the following: Contents/Resources/game
Place the "patch file", huniepop_uncensored_patch.game into the "game" folder you navigated to.
Close the window and run the game as you would normally and you will now have the uncensored version.

See the attached picture for what the file structure should look like.

Vragant: is there a patch for linux version?
just use the "touch" command to create the empty file in the same directory as the .x86 file (HuniePop/game) where you installed the game.

So, by default: touch ~/GOG\ Games/HuniePop/game/huniepop_uncensored_patch.game
Can someone please clarify for me the difference between the censored and uncensored versions? What parts are they censoring? I created a text file with the correct name in the correct place, launched the game, looked at my picture collection and nothing had changed.

EDIT:
Just found the answer elsewhere and mine is definitely censored... so why didn't the patch work?

EDIT #2:
Fixed it. I case anyone else has the same problem, here's what was going on:
I had tried to make the file myself. Even though I made sure that there was no .txt in the file name and instead it ended in .game, my computer was still reading it as a text file instead of a game file. I deleted it, downloaded the patch from the link and it worked fine. I hope this is useful info for someone.

So GOG are DRM Free, but appear to not be CENSORSHIP FREE!!

Well, that surely has legal reasons. The fact that they actually stickified this thread says a lot about their actual stance on this matter.
what is the difference between censored and uncensored version?

vaibhav_hrt: what is the difference between censored and uncensored version?
The censored version has panties covering the naughty bits in the final "photo" for every girl. If you play the uncensored version you unlock both the censored and the uncensored picture when you manage to bed a girl. Note that one or two of the girls do not have a non-censored version due to the "picture" being posed in a way that would not reveal anything between their legs.

What legal reasons? So GOG is OK to sell VIOLENT games where you can KILL people but it's not OK to show NUDITY? Oh wait, Lula isn't censored so what possible legal reasons didn't apply to that one?

In case it hasn't occurred to you, in many countries, particularly the US, nudity is very problematic, especially full frontal and the depiction of genitals, far more than violence. European countries are far more tolerant in this respect but still have a problem with genitals shown in a sexual context which can result in those products being considered pornographic which results in all sorts of limitations on the distribution.

Because you don't see genitals there (nor semen, I believe). You see both in the uncensored version of HuniePop. Lula is a game ABOUT pornography but not pornography itself. The uncensored version of HuniePop is cartoon pornography.

BrandeX: There's no "patch", all game files are present as installed. You activate uncensored mode by putting a blank text file named "huniepop_uncensored_patch.game" in the game's directory. Downloading someone else's blank text file is just silly.
just type in a console "touch <path_to_the_game>/huniepop_uncensored_patch.game"
You can tell if the uncensor 'patch' worked or not because it will say 'Uncensored' on the lower let of the title screen.
Okay. I need a little help with the patch. I've made the .txt to .game file and I cant figure out how to get it where its got to be. I'm running XP on my pc, my rig is a non online gaming rig (one of the reasons I like GOG), and I seem to be having a little trouble opening the huniepop file. And if there any other options for this uncensore patch, that would be great too. Thanks

You don't have to open the file, it just has to be present in the game folder.

Technically, when the game launches it has a logic to determin if it will be censored/uncensored. It would be like this:

Game starts => Is "huniepop_uncensored_patch.game" in game root folder? => if false then censored/if true then uncensored
