I think this game was meant to be played with a gamepad, so the developers omission of support for other gamepads is really dissapointing. I tried creating a profile for my logitech but for some reason it doesn't work. I also tried with a couple of thrustmasters and no luck either.

Did anyone manage to get any other gamepad working??

If the developers are reading this, please, can you do something about it?

Thanks

Last week I send a mail to sumom games about this topic and got this answer:

"We are very sorry, but unfortunately we do not have the resources to make the game compatible with all input devices.
We made the game using Microsoft XNA platform and the game is fully compatible with XBOX 360 gamepads.
Other input devices may work with help of emulators (like Xpadder for example), but are not officially supported."

So I took Joy2Key, it works, XPadder should to the job, too :)

And maybe this one could be of interest: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/

Thanks for your help. I heard of Joy2play before but never tried. I'll give it a go this afternoon.

Thanks
Another way is using the xbox360 controller emulator. You can use that with any Gamepad out there. It will make the game think you have a 360 Gamepad.

It works with any Game i tested(from Alien Breed Impact to Bastion to Duhngeon Siege 3 and to Humans Must Answer).

You just have to configure the INI file if some buttons are not mapped correctly(happens with my RumblePad 2 - Button 5 and 6 are wrong configured as trigger by default).

So they pussed out. I'm playing with a Hori pad and the customization is a total crap shoot. Tired of this shit. Don't call yourself an indie dev and then optimize your game for a fucking Xbox controller, you fucking wankers.

To further fuel your rage. To be fair Rogue Legacy did add support for DirectInput controllers in patch v1.0.12.

I use a Logitech wireless gamepad f710 and it works with no issues at all. All I did was turn on the controller and then boot the game.
The F710 has the Option between Direct- and X-Input(the switch is in the front middle marked wit a D and X). It will be recognized as 360 Pad in X-Input mode.
A nice Pad...when it wouldn't suffer from those disconnect problems(1-4 seconds no response).

So the Options for games that do not support direct input controllers are XPADDER and the 360 Controller Emulator. Both programms are free.

Thanks. Xpadder works. But it is a shame not to support anything except microsoft 360 controller. This game is not so superb to afford it.
