YAY! :D
Awesome, wonder if it'll add any story points

So how do patches work with this game? Do I have to uninstall the game first, or can I just install over the previous version?

I believe you have to uninstall then reinstall. At least I did with the patch that fixed flexibility scoring. It asked me if I wanted to retain my saves during uninstall, but it's probably safest to back them up yourself anyway
And still no update. It's been 'tomorrow/tonight' for the last week or longer.
Is this patch out for the GoG version of the game? I re-downloaded the installer but there's nothing new from what I can see... Installer seems to be the same version as before.
Not yet.

There will be a notification when that happens. But should be soonish.
Edit: People on Steam write that it hasn't even updated there yet, so that 'soonish' I wrote may just as well be tomorrow :/

Thanks for keeping us posted, it's greatly appreciated!

I'm in two minds as to just get the game on Steam now, complete with automatic updates and achievements... Not that GoG will care, they've already had my money! xD

Maybe over Christmas...
Steam has the new patch, but the installer on here is still the old version. Hope the update is coming soon...

Kinda regret not getting the Steam version for automatic updates/achievements... Bah, first-world problems.

The GOG guys have to wake up and go to work, so in 8 hours the patch should be here too.

I know you're kind of joking around but I feel the same way. GOG.com is a great service for old games, but as someone who doesn't mind the Steam DRM for small indie games that I want to play through and not really worry about owning for life, the auto updates, faster patches and faster support for new features on Steam really adds more value. My copy of Hotline Miami is unplayable and if I bought it on Steam for the same price I could be playing now. The Legend of Grimrock level editor on Steam but not on GOG is another example. Hopefully we get that update sooner than later.
Yup, wish GOG would get it's act together when it comes to modern games that are still getting updated. Kicking myself for not getting this on Steam. Love ya GOG for the classics but not so much for the new stuff.
I think it is more the dev than the service. There are some games on steam that never get updated or are an update behind everyone else (making them incompatible for online play with everyone else). There are a couple of games that are getting updates on steam before the other services. I think there was one game that the dev said in the forum they were just concentrating on the steam updates.

It all depends on what the dev does and who and when they submit their updates. GOG and Steam don't control when they get the patches. It's pure luck where you buy your game and how that dev feels about updating that service.

I buy a lot of games on desura and gamergate. I hate seeing the updates on desura and waiting and waiting for the gamersgate update. I actually had to remind a dev one time not to forget the people that bought from his personal website when he was updating desura :/
