So with the remaster announcement and the 10 usd/eur upgrade offer. Hopefully GOG gets it as well.

Given they're forcing PSN accounts on all their games now I very much doubt it as that wouldn't fly with DRM free GoG.

Yeah, the announcement on the Playstation Blog only mentions the upgrade for Steam and Epic (where I own the game) so it will probably not be available on GOG anytime soon, if ever, which is too bad.

Playstation blog has basically confirmed that the remastered upgrade WILL require a PSN account, so this will not be on GOG just like any of other games from Sony.
I mean it seems pretty obvious sony has abandoned GOG, we didn't yet get Ratchet & Clank nor Last of Us and so I kinda doubt the will even bring forbidden west to gog which is the last game released that does not require PSN.

Sony is fully back to their arrogant PS3 days, making one dumb anti-consumer decision after the other.

Shame, with how they started their support of PC versions I was kinda hopeful that this could be good, especially after they even started tu release on GOG.

I hope not. They make you pay for a version with drm. Gog should not get something like that.
also it is a game from 4 years ago, paying for something that should just be an update is stupid you should not do that even if it was drm free

If it get delisted I know I will have to buy God of War by the next sale... or not... while I like some games I don't want to support sony right now... but I also want to support the drm-free release... I will think about it.
Right now I'm glad I already got a drm-free version of Horizon Zero Dawn on a sale.

If GOG ain't getting the remaster then I see no reason to remove the original. But Metal Gear Solid 2 got delisted years ago (for other reasons) and it never came back despite the Master Collection not releasing here. So who knows, might happen. Also, the new God of War requires PSN login as well, so most likely won't come to GOG either. I don't like that GOG users will not be able to purchase the sequels to these games. Might as well never have released any game here if the series are going to be incomplete.

I don't think so. Sonny is stubborn as hell. I sure not going to cave in and sign up for a PSN account, so they can forget about my money. I rather "rise the black flag" than signing up for a PSN account for a bloody single player game.

For the same reason I do not buy DRM-Infested games (like with Denuvo). Lucky enough there are still great games that do not need some stupid account (or only if you do multiplayer, what has zero interest from me). Lately I buy most of my games on GOG for that reason.

I am still hoping that in the future games like Starfield (yeah, yeah I know, but I simply like that game) will come to GOG. And while I am wishing already, I would LOVE to see the Atelier games from Gust here on GOG, but that is too far off-topic I guess. Well - Nothing bad about a little dreaming now and then, right?

I hope the remastered(s) don't come to gog, and that damn PSN restriction don't get enforced in gog too.
Speaking as a gamer from a country affected by that ridiculous PSN restriction, that remastered on Steam & Epic has removed a game that was available to us
I don't know why the hell Sony insisting on that damn PSN requirement especially in pure single-player games, over 170 countries don't have -officially- PSN even though PS consoles and their accessories are sold there just fine

Honestly, don't see the point of this remaster on PC, it's an upgrade for the console (PS4 to PS5 is huge) but for PC, not so much, it already looks gorgeous and any improvements would be incremental.

They really can't delist it on GOG, but if you were worried about it, you can download a full version of the game with the installers, that never needs to be connected to the internet. It's your copy to use as you wish (not give to friends or resell). You can use it on future computers and not worry about needing an internet connection to activate it. The new California law will make all of this clear when it goes into effect next year. As far as the remaster on GOG, new can hope. GOG won't host it if it has PSN requirements.
