I think I've tried every trick there is out there to make it work. Updating drivers, setting strict rules for exe to be run on nvidia gpu, changing swap file size on external drive, moving the games files to local drive, doing a clean boot, laying tarot cards and praying at diablo monastery.... still. 2 seconds after startup the game is dead with a random error id. I'm trying to run it on a 3070 ti 8gb vram laptop with 32 gb of ram... maybe its too much? No bloody idea. Other PS5 ports like Marvel's Spider-man, Miles Morales, God of War, Quantic Dreams games run just fine. Only this one is a special snowflake.

UPDATE:
Well... Bad new. Bought Steam version and it works fine without any additional tinkering. -_-

Just wanted to add another data point to this problem. Same issue for me too, I purchased before Christmas on GOG and couldn't get it to start from Galaxy on three different PCs running Windows 11. I get to the black screen with spinning circle, and then it crashes with the error popup. Same thing happens if I try to manually open the .exe game file.
My solution was to refund the game, as I logged a total of 0 minutes gameplay :)
GOG team: I think the technical problem is at your end. But thanks for the refund.

Sadly too late to refund for me...

I bought it long time ago and it worked on Win 10, 6th-gen i5 and gf1060. After platform upgrade it crashes with 'emergency exit' (wyjście awaryjne) message. Win 11, 12th-gen i7 and gf4060, drivers up to date.

Problem must be on GOG version end for sure since people say the Steam version works fine. Sadly I can't get a refound, game was working fine just a couple of months ago I believe.

I can Confirm, SpeacialK fixes this like I read someone saying on reddit, just install SpecialK and launch the game from it, been playing it for a few hours, no issues so far, hopefully it gets fixed.
