I was recommended this game when somebody I follow saw it was on sale but I know that Gearbox has in the past injected their politics into their other products(an example of which is Duke Nukem having a sign or something that says: "Freedom Fries
Now with 50% more Xenophobia."
I've also heard of some instances of Borderlands having some political lines in it.
Is such content in this game?

Homeworld was developed by Relic in 1999 and Gearbox purchased the rights for the series 5-6 years ago and as i know, they remastered Homeworld 1 and Homeworld 2 graphic and sound, but didn't change the gameplay.

Anyway, i still think Homeworld 1 and Homeworld: Emergence (was Cataclysm and was't remastered) are best space RTS to date.

And remastered version have an option to install the original version of H1 and H2 too as i know.
Homeworld: Emergence was't remastered (there is no source code left for it), but the story is between H1 and H2.

H1 and HE worth every penny and if you will buy them, maybe you should try original versions first and then replay remastered :)

that didn't really touch on the question. Question wasn't about the quality of the game, or when it takes place in the Homeworld universe, etc. Gearbox is political, and they have injected their politics into the games they've bought the rights to. Did they politicize it when they remastered it?

I've played HW1 remastered (which I don't recommend due to inserted HW2 scaling), HW1 original, HW2 remastered and HW Emergence (formerly known as Cataclysm (psst... dont tell Blizzard I said that)) and havent found any trace of changed text which transports any political agenda so far.

Surely the solution would be to use the same concept as a multilingual game. So, just as a language option of, say, Spanish, there would be one called: "Without Politics - just the Xenophobia" language option?

Huh, well without too many spoilers, the plot involves a colony rediscovering its homeland.

Xenophobia, colonialism and imperialism are all themes that you could find in the game if you wanted to.

If you find the Civilization games to be too political for you, this will be as well. Or if we're talking movies, you might not want to play this if you were offended by James Cameron's Avatar.

I think what DynastyStar is wonderingis if Gearbox has inserted their real world "woke" politics into the game. For example, Borderlands One was relatively apolitical, but in BL2, we suddenly have a significant gay NPC, and in BL3, now at least two previous PCs are bisexual, we function as the officiant for the aforementioned NPCs gay wedding, and things of that nature. I share his lack of interest in such politics-- Gearbox is heading down the same path as Netflix, where 95% of all media showcase 2% of the population. It's so blatant that it is annoying. It does not make one homophobic to be sick of seeing it shoved in our faces. I already intend to give BL4 a pass because of Gearbox's approach to presenting gay relationships (there was no reason to make Axton bisexual or Tiny Tina gay or whatever the hell she happens to be), on top of their inability to figure out how challenge ratings work in BL2 and the PreSequel (one word: Badass Pyre Thresher). BL3 was a much better iteraton, but I choose to vote with my wallet-- I've canceled my Netflix subscription and choose to avoid any company, entertainment or otherwise, that practices "woke" political activism.

Another example of such a disaster is "Dishonored 2." Anita Sarkeesian rode her false charges of bullying and "gamergate" to a non-profit she ran into the ground, while simultaneously harassing Arkane until they brought her on board to "consult" creating the playable character of Emily Kaldwin that no one asked for and most people found as annoying as urinal splashback. The web is full of critical reviews of "The Last of Us 2" and how it destroyed the characters, forced an unnecesary gay romance, and basically made every bad thing the fault of the white male.

I am sick of such things and choose not to pay for them. I like GOG because I can find and play classic games from before everything had to have an AGENDA. Hell, I can even play Star Wars games like X-Wing, from when it was good, wasn't written by untalented hacks to promote some ludicrous "Force is Female" junk, and didn't blame everything on one gender and race.

Anyway, that's enough soapbox. I don't mean to proselytize and if you enjoy those sorts of things in your games, more power to you. I merely wanted to answer the question of what kind of politics DynastyStar was probably trying to avoid and why. Not many of us care about the Tilari Homeworld not welcoming the x'Tingra. We do, however, get sick of seeing activists try to demand Velma is gay on Scooby Do and Han Solo wants to boink Chewbacca.

It does not mean one hates or even dislikes gays to wonder why less than four percent of the population is now featured in 100% of Netflix shows produced since 2017 and 14% of the movies since 2015, or why 100% of the marriages shown in the Borderlands series are homosexual. Or why 1/3 of the actual relationships shown in the series are homosexual. Or why "Last of Us 2" forced an unnecessary gay romance at the expense of previous character development. Or why prominent Apex Legends characters are frontlined as gay.

No, there are no modern day references to politics in the Homeworld series.
All politics are purely game related. No "Woke" and No "Anti-SJW" politics involved.

There is no modern politics you know the kind that deals with LGBTQXYZ alphabet soup.

But there is politics in the sense of genocide, and sins of the fathers(very far back ancestors) no spoilers but yeah.
