I've heard that DoK doesn't have an in-game pause unlike the previous HW games. Is that the case? Is there a mod that provides this feature?

Pressing F10 will pause the game. Its been tested with the campaign

Deserts of Kharak does not have a tactical pause like the previous game because it takes the homeworld approach for RTS in a different way. It is closer to other ground based RTSes such as Company of Heroes, Command and Conquer, StarCraft, Age of Empires, which are based on a fast paced gameplay, and for this reason they don't have a tactical pause.

Tactical pause has been added to Deserts of Kharak.

Both Company of Heroes and Age of Empires have tactical pause.

DoK got tactical pause with the patch v1.3.0, but on gog we only have v1.2.1.

It would be really nice if BBI/gog updated the game here too, especially as the 1.3.0 patch has been out on Steam for a few month by now, but so far they haven't. I asked support about this some time ago, but they couldn't tell me when - or even if - the game will be updated.

I got a refund because of this and bought it on Steam.

tinyE: I got a refund because of this and bought it on Steam.
I also asked GoG support about this and they told me there was no ETA currently for the 1.3.0 patch. They indicated that Deserts of Kharak in particular is very difficult to patch based on the work they had to perform to remove the DRM from it. They offered me a refund as well.
