Hello,

I know that from the Steam version the 1920x1080 resolution was available but the FOV and actual aspect was a bit muddled. Has it been tweaked with this version? If not is there a working tweak for this version?

GOG's version doesn't support widescreen by default, hence there's nothing fixed. The highest officially supported resolution is 1600x1200. Of course you can apply the hack described in the WideScreenGamingForum to use a custom resolution, but there might be always a slightly distorted FOV or aspect, but it looks good at 1680x1050 on my system.
