there is a little fact about game version, wikipedia shows that current version is 1.02 (1.0.0.277) the version which GOG have is 1.01 (1.0.0.271) is there any way to update it.

Hi there :D

I am not sure where wikipedia got this information considering that the publisher of the game has only one patch for Hitman 2: Silent Assassin:

Also, I checked on wikipedia and the version listed is just 1.02 without the (1.0.0.277) after it.

Heck, I even checked patches-scrolls.de to see if I missed anything and they only list the 1.01 patch for Hitman 2.

thank you JudasIscariot i have looked it, it is some kind of "MASS PATCH" .Read me file which shows this:-
"Hitman 2 v1.02 Mass Patch" (Cheats patch)

What Does This Mass Patch Do?


1) Cracks Out The Ingame Ammo (For All Weapons) And Makes It Unlimited (Lets You Fire As Much As You Want Without Reloading Too!!!).

2) Cracks Out The Ingame Saves Count And Makes It Unlimited (Save Your Game As Many Times You Like!!!).

3) Enables Cheat Activation (Enter Popular Cheats For The Game Just By Bringing Down The Console!!!).

4) Unlocks All Locked Content.

OK just to let you know there isn't a 1.02 patch, 1.02 (1.0.0.277) is the last version released by Eidos which had removed some content from the game (you can read about the removed content on the wiki) and it was a retail release (NOT A PATCH) so its better to stick with 1.01 (1.0.0.271) which had all the content.

Sorry for ressurecting an old thread but am hoping someone can help with doing away with the save game limit for each mission.

I'm only on the first mission and like to save frequently so I can try different things. I understand the principle of the save game cap but it's not how I want to play the game.

I've searched and there is another thread that suggests a "mass patch" resolves this issue http://www.gog.com/forum/hitman_series/hitman_2_silent_assassin_current_version but I can't find the download link. Also, being a bit of a technophobe, I'd rather not just download files without having a fellow Gog'er to approve them.

1.02 is just a censored version. Here is an explanation from Steam:

"Hey, just for you guys to know, the steam (1.02) version of this game is the censored version, which means there is some cut Dialogue (both in-game & in Diana's briefing) concerning the Sikh's levels, so if you did find them weird (they cutted the explanation about the whole cult's deal with terrorism) its because of censorship. Besides the dialogue, it seems they made a minor tweak and 47 doesnt wear the turban while desguised as a sikh member."
