I recently bought the Millenium Edition of Heroes of Might and Magic, and people have been saying that King's Bounty (The original one) is included as a bonus game. But I have not yet found it.

Looks to me like it's not included. The MobyGames page seems to have been badly written, maybe that confused you?

If the Millennium Edition is what you bought, King's Bounty is included. Check the first CD (the one with the original Heroes of Might and Magic game) and navigate to HEROES\KB. These files are the King's Bounty game files.

Because GOG doesn't have the rights to the Millenium Edition release, which is the one that include King's Bounty.

Really? King's Bounty was included with every compilation containing Heroes of Might and Magic I game except HoMM Platinum Edition. For example, King's Bounty is included with Heroes of Might and Magic Compendium Edition. GoG's releases of HoMM I & II are exact replicas of HoMM Compendium Edition. :-)

Well, you learn something new every day. I had no idea this was the case.

I wonder then whether it's just laziness, oversight or lack of interest, or whether there are real legal reasons why GOG doesn't include King's Bounty. It runs perfectly with DOSBox, I played it recently, so it can't be a technical reason.

Maybe it will be in the future? One can only hope. I did wishlist it in that forum.
