Hello,

perhaps I am missing something, but I can't seem to find a way to dismiss a hero in Heroes 4. Moreover, I cannot just suicide the hero to some neutral troops - the hero remains as a grave carrying my flag and is still counted as an "owned" hero for all kinds of purposes.

So, aside from getting the hero moved to an enemy town prison (no longer possible in this particular case), is there any way to get rid of a hero?

Context: I am replaying H4 campaigns on Champion+Mobile Guards and during Life's scenario "The First Step of Many" you get a superhigh level hero [with poor skillset].
Carryover is 2 non-campaign-specific heroes - I rather not lose a superhero I already carried over to this scenario.

Even though the H4 Manual states:
Note that heroes cannot be dismissed from your armies.,

I found a tip at IGN (cannot link):
To disband a hero, go to its information page and press the D key.

It opens a confirmation dialog and the hero can be removed.
