Hi all.

I recently downloaded & installed HoMM 2 Gold from GoG (was already in my library). It appears to be the DOS version (runs via DosBox). This site and the game store page (under "goodies") mention a Windows version. Where is this and how do I download it? I can't find it anywhere on GoG.

But I don't know what you mean about "it is an "extra" listed near the manuals." - where do I see this? There is no clickable item on the product page for this.

I found in my library where to download the extras, and I downloaded it from there also... but now my question is, where did it download to!? It's not in my Downloads folder.

Whew! Found it... burried in C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\HoMM 2 Gold\!Downloads

Nothing on the publicly accessible store page is useful to you here. Everything you want will be in your account's library. The link I posted is one such that you can find there. Fortunately, the link is context-aware, so the same link works for everyone who has Heroes 2 in their library and fails for everyone who does not. You can use this if you have the opportunity to help someone in the future. If you do, check that the links you provide fail when used in a browser not logged in to GOG, so you don't accidentally let unauthorized users download the game.
