All CD versions I have never had this problem:
you can play for a while but suddenly the music
will start breaking. Reloading the game helps,
yet the problem returns.

Did you guys experience the same bug with GOG
version?

Yes. Specifically I've had it when I'm in the Inferno fort screen. I think something may be wrong with the music file for it.

I'm surprised nobody else has such a problem...

Did you download the setup with the GOG Downloader? If not, then some of it might be corrupted.
