Hello, i got the game here on GOG because the version on steam is not the complete version. I have the game updated but when I press the play button it just makes a dinging noise after a second and it doesn't do anything..it doesn't even try to launch. I am able to get HOMM: 2 to work just fine on GOG but that is not what I am looking for.

I see that the hd mod is does not include the expansion packs

.I bought it first on steam, with it being HD but it wasn't the complete expansion, that is why I bought it on GOG, but it doesn't work.

Don't confuse the HD mod with the HD Edition of the game.

As Plokite said, these are two completely different things.

The "HD Edition" on steam indeed doesn't include expansions and is crappy in many different way. The HD mod is a mod that enables widescreen support and fixes other issues, including compatibility on modern machines.

Good morning everyone!
I have downloaded the HD mod for HOMM3:Complete and this is the message i get when I try to run it from the launcher.

-You should run HD3 launcher.exe first after Homm3 HD installation.

-If you ran HD3_Launcher.exe with no effect try to run it as adminstrator.

EDIT: I right clicked Launch HOMM3 and hit "Run as adminstrator" with no effect.
:(

Second EDIT: I ran the HD mod in "Run as adminstrator" and it worked just fine, thanks guys!

h3maped.exe in the game's directory, where it's always been. Also in the game's entry in the Start menu under Tools, and in Galaxy under More -> Other.

The mod is not that good in my view. I prefer full screen in battle. Not a sideshow thing
But honestly they need to fix this. Heroes 1 and 2 works fine. And i hate steam version because the graphics looks really weird in battle?

Shame this cant work on Windows 10 currently

That's because you choose a higher internal rendered resolution in the HD mod serttings, which is NOT the same as the screen resolution

If you want the original resolution, just use 800x600, simple as that... when you choose 'full screen', it will use your native screen resolution, while rendering the graphics at the source size and stretching them to fit.
