it has always bothered me the "missing" scenes in harvester's dosbox version
some research lead to suggestions to lower your cpu cycles in dosbox
a bit of testing and i found 30000-37500 cycles acceptable
my best was 37900 cycles
this works fine for talking to your brother and the TV video plays each time you talk to him...
however a few of the scenes continued to not play
lowering speeds again 8000-12000 and i found the slowest scenes good at 8700 cycles
8700 is painfully slow, honestly. even compared to a computer in 1996/97
the 8700 limit (for my cpu, i7-3940XM) allows the mother scene in the bedroom to play
at 8800 cycles it does not play.
you can test this with a save right before on night 2, with dolly and phillips screwdriver prepare to turn off the alarm
the FMV for the alarm should play motioning the switch off. its the same CPU cycles required for the mother's bedroom scene
... if any others appear i guess i could test EVEN LOWER speeds!
