Hi,

I posted this on the Steam forums as well but I did not get any reply, so I will also post here :

"I think I'm in the last mission in Scars of Freedom, where Dr. Gorman goes back to the quarry (after Libertee has gone there to wait for him) and when I finish the first part (kill all deserters) and go to investigate the fire, I get the quote "Are you there Libertee?", the game goes into Setup mode and the screen goes black.

Music keeps playing and I hear clicking sounds from menus, but nothing works, really. I even restarted from my last save, but the same thing happens.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated."

Some system specs would be helpful. Does this happen on Windows, Mac, or Linux?

Also, there should be some logs for the game such as output_log.txt or something of the sort in the Hard West folder :)

i5-2500K
16GB RAM
970 GTX
Windows 10 Pro

There is no output_log.txt file as the game does not crash proper. The screen goes black like it will again show something, sound plays, if I press Esc I get the normal Restart/Resume/Quit menu (which is responsive) and if I press I I see the character screen.

Also, when randomly clicking in the blackness, I hear the normal UI sounds, it's just that the graphics don't load at this particular segment of the game.

Thank you for your prompt reply by the way, I'm looking forward to properly finishing this excellent and challenging DLC!

PS I've been playing Hard West since launch, never encountered any other bugs or issues so far.

Bit late to the party here, but I am experiencing the exact same issue. May I ask how you managed to fix it?

It's been ages, but just installing the hotfix on Steam seemed to resolved the issue for me. Unsure whether I had to restart the whole mission in order for it to work properly or not. Verify whether GoG has the same Build that Steam does, for the game.

I'm playing on Steam as well, so I will just try restarting the DLC. Thanks for replying!
