I have a problem : i can't create a name/game profil and finally :

I can't play at all !

I am a french player of "Hard Reset Redux" on PC (windows 7)

Help me please !

Can you try the new patch and see if it helps? Also, are you using any accented (é è ç ë ò ô ö ù à â) characters when trying to create a profile?

Or wherever it stores the profile information.
It might be in My Documents somewhere. I would check but I don't have the game installed ATM.

Hi or hello,

I'll download it tonight and I'll contact you if the game still does not work !

I downloaded the game, but unfortunately, it did not work: the game is not to create "game profile"!

Hi, I think this issue may be beyond us and you should get in contact with the developer.

The developer have a support email address here:

hardreset-support@flyingwildhog.com

You will need to send them your DxDiag file. If you know how to make one, skip the stuff I will post below :)

How to make a DxDiag file:

- On your Windows task bar, click «Start» (Windows icon usually in the lower left corner of the screen).
- Select and press "Run" (if you do not see "Run", hold down the "Windows" button on your keyboard and press "R"). A "Run" window should pop up.
- In the "Run" window, type "dxdiag" and click "OK". A "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" window should pop up.
- In the appeared window choose "Save all information".
- After you've saved the file, please attach it to your message.

I know that this probably too late to help the original poster, but I just had the same problem (in 2018) so I'll put this out there for anyone who encounters this issue.

How I got it to work for me was to:
1) Go to "My Documents"
2) Create a new folder called "Hard Reset Redux"
3) Open that folder and create a new folder called "profiles"
4) Open that folder and create a new folder named whatever you want your profile name to be
5) Launch the game

This fixed he loop of not being able to create a profile to even reach the main menu. I'm sure that it won't help everyone, but here's hoping that it helps someone.
