Has anyone else had this problem? I get the message that a rogue freighter isn't responding to hails, etc., I can see it clearly marked in red on the map, but it's impossible to attack it. When the second rogue freighter is announced, I can attack it no problem, but since the scenario can't be won without attacking both, this mission is as far as I can get in the game. Anybody have a solution?
On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to increase game speed on a laptop keyboard (no numpad)?

Use the CTRL key + Right Click to force fire on the merchant.

As for changing speed, can't you do it with the '+' and '-' keys?

You can use the number 1,2 and 3 on the number pad by default to change game speed, and the pause key about pg up/down to pause the game.

Also watch out for small red messages at the bottom of the screen. These often tell you how to perform certain tasks when you get a new assignment.
