Received a message from Vap0r: Bit -- Foundation

He wanted me to decrypt TraceKill.dec file.
So I had to do a seperate mission to get the decypher.exe program.
Once completed I decrypted the Tracekill file to an exe and then mv it to the bin folder.
I keep clicking reply on Vap0r e-mail with no results. It doesn't say mission incomplete or anything. Like the reply button isn't working or something.

-Sidenote-
After playing the game I find myself using the tab key to autocomplete things like URL's etc. and it does'nt work. Game gave me a bad habit. :P

I apologize for not being able to answer your question but would you be so kind as to answer mine?
I saw a demonstration video on the main page here at GOG and wanted to ask:
How is Hacknet?

Is Hacknet fun?

Is the control scheme of Hacknet intuitive?

Hello there, you should not need to mv anything. When you download the encrypted file it should go in ~/home
because decypher.exe is in your /bin it will run on your machine from any directory as /bin is in the CLI search path

So all you need to do is decypher <filename> and it will run and create a unencrypted version.
You can then upload it to a location or attach it to an email or whatever the instructions say.

Hope this helps :)

THis should have really need in its own thread but here goes.

1. It is good. It gets a little samey and knowing Linux can cause some frustrations as in lack of working wildcards and cp command.
2. Yes it is good but it is not something you will struggle to pause and come back next day to play. You play this in bursts as it gets very repetitive. It is very good though, it is a pretty unique genre.

I would recommend you get Uplink which is also here on GoG.
Other ones not on GoG include Hacker Elite/Duality from Exosyphen studios.

If you want to go back more get the very first one, System 15000 on the C64, you will need an emulator for that one :)

Enjoy.
