Hi everybody,

I installed Ground Control 1 at home on my Windows 7 64bits rig and suffer from mouse latency, which gives this effect of "sloppy mouse".

I installed it on my other computer but the mouse is completely normal. Do you have any idea of what could be doing this ?

Regards,

I have exactly the same problem on Dungeon Keeper 2.

I'm on 32 bits though, and my mouse is a G500.

Edit: Well, my problem seems to be fixed now, thanks to this topic : http://www.gog.com/forum/ground_control_series/gc2_mouse_issues

I have the same problem and the solution on that page is only for Logitech G500s. The mouse moves great horizontally but it works so sloppy on vertically. It's really irritating.
Just set this up on my work computer (it won't run at all on my laptop), and had the same issues with the mouse.

Managed to fix it by going into Mouse in control panel, then in 'pointer options' I unchecked the box 'Enhance pointer precision'. Didn't even know it was enabled in the first place.

Anyway, mouse seems fine now.

besides turning off "enhanced pointer precision" in windows, i noticed that using widescreen (in-game) will end up changing the mouse-movement for horizontal movement.
so when you say "mouse moves great horizontally but it works so sloppy on vertically", then i presume you are using a widescreen resolution. i suggest using a 4:3 resolution (like 1280x960) and then increase the sensitivity a little bit.

and even if you refuse to play with a 4:3 resolution, i'd still suggest to try it out, just to see if that indeed "fixes" the problem.
be sure your nvidia/amd settings are set to keep aspect ratios of full-screen games, if you decide to give this a try.

edit: didn't realise the last post was so old. woops.
