My Xbox controller is not recognized und Windows 10 Pro OS build 17763.194.
Another attached wired XBox 360 controller does not seem to work either.
WSAD is working without problems, but controller would be much better.
Both my controllers do work in Dead Cells for example.
Can you help us?
Jep, got the same problm here.
I just played the game start to finish without any issues (Win10 Pro build 17763.194) using an Xbox One controller through Bluetooth. The key prompts changed to Xbox prompts as well, so support for the controller is clearly built-in.

One thing I noticed is that the game doesn't support hotplugging (you need to have the controller already powered on and connected before starting the game).
Thanks for testing, Pixelguin.
Controller is also connected via Bluetooth and working (at least in Dead Cells). Hotplugging does not seem to be the issue here, because it is connected and online, before GOG and the game were started.

I found a solution that works (at least) for me:
The problem seems to be with other (game) controllers interfering.
An old driver of a 3-DOF controller like a 3DConnexxion Space Navigator got in the way of letting the XBox controller take over.
Deinstalled the driver, selected the XBox controller to be first.

You can read about it right here:

Thanks for your help.

Same here, wireless 360 pad. I've installed over 200 games on my system, and for some reason five or six of them won't recognize the controller. I've never been able to determine what the conflict is. (I don't have that Connexion3D thingy others are talking about).

What I've had to do is set up Xpadder profiles to get these games working. Can anyone tell me what the default keyboard commands for GRIS are? I haven't been able to find any reference anywhere.
Ok, Nomada was very helpful and sent me the keybindings, so if anyone else wants to make an Xpadder profile, here they are:

Up - W
Down - S
Left - A
Right - D
Jump - Space
Ability 1 - K
Ability 2- L

And then ESC to enter pause menu.
