CE_Chris: Hey peeps. Chris here, Game Director on GRIP.
Sorry about the launch version not being up to date, we thought we'd provided the latest DRM-free build but obviously that wasn't the case.
But it's updated now! I believe the only things missing from the Steam version are multiplayer, VR and the DeLorean (licensing reasons). All other official DLC should be in there.
Here's a changelist of all the stuff:
Added Vintek Marengo speedster class vehicle
Added Norvos map Jekna 881
Added two new music tracks from Thrill Swollowa
Added new music track by Nosfer & Urph
Added Dragstrip Carkour track
Added gradient paint jobs for all vehicles as a DLC pack
Added more decal options to every car
Added menu options for speed streaks and bumper cam vehicle 'ghost'
Improved AI bot speed control
Improved position tracking system
Improved end-race cinematic camera support
Fixed custom tournament results. Tourney results now shown in the main UI between tournament events.
Solidified vehicle / vehicle collision inertia for less troublesome collision.
Bug fix for not recording a finish time for players that don't cross the finish line before the event is ended in tournament mode. The finish time is now estimated and calculated into the final results which are used to arbitrate tie-breakers.
Bug fix for text boxes to have them appear in the gamepad UI navigation. You may need to use the analog stick to navigate away from a text box and the D pad gets locked out.
Added "new" bots ;)
Various other bug fixes and improvements
@Lucian_Galca if you could update your review to reflect this, would be much appreciated :)
Thank you, and i'm sorry I had to post that review in the first place as gog versions of games being out of date has been an issue for years now. I felt that gog had some responsibility for this issue, but had largely been ignoring it, so I posted that review to hopefully finally get gog to pay attention.
My original review should be already deleted, and i'll be posting a new review in the future once I play through the game some more. You can expect a new and good review from me as the game seems to really nail the feel of the Rollcage series the game is a successor to, and I love just about most games from that era of gaming.
