I know this isn't really the right place.... but The PS4 version feels so much more stable than the PC one. I had 2 crashes though year one on the PC, but into year 2 on the PS4 and its been good through out.

Just saying.
No crashes at all yet and reached year 3 on the pc version.

Fully upgraded pc with up to date drivers with a real graphics card.

"Real graphics card"... well, good for you. I guess you're one of those guys who think every single one of us with GPUs older than 7 years are not real gamers, and whatnot.

Well, I couldn't care less about what you and most of the elitist PC "MASTER RACE" gamers say and think. Everyone should be entitled to play the games they love, despite their system requirements. This is not to say I don't understand video gaming is directly dependent on technology that is ever-evolving, but Grim Fandango Remastered doesn't look like The Witcher III, for instance. I look at The Witcher III and I immediately know that my computer definitely doesn't run it, but by looking at videos of Grim Fandango Remastered, there's no reason whatsoever to think it would need such high PC specs in order to run properly.

The Double Fine team was just lazy on this one, they probably did nothing in terms of optimizing the game when porting it to the PC. With the similar architecture that PCs and consoles have in this generation, they probably just ported what the Sony team did for their PlayStation 4 and Vita versions, which obviously come with OpenGL 3.3 and other things like that right off the bat. By looking at the game running, there's no reason to think it wouldn't run on Windows 2000 with a really old GeForce2. So why do only "real" gamers have access to Grim Fandango?! From what I've been experiencing in twitch streams, "real" gamers (i.e. graphic whores) don't even seem to like Grim Fandango, they say it looks ugly and old and many of them never even heard about the game. So, if "real" gamers, the kind of gamers that think a GPU older than 3 years is ancient are not the target audience for this game, why didn't they lower the specs for the PC version, along with some much needed optimization and stabilizing, so the people that *actually* want to play the game could do so?

On a side note, that end of year one cinematic is bugged even if you play it on a computer with a "real graphics card", I think that you either got very, very lucky and didn't get the bug, or you're plainly lying.
7 years is pretty fucking old...

Yes, it is. Nevertheless, it's still powerful enough to be able to run The Witcher 2 on medium-to-high settings, with no stuttering or lag whatsoever. Or, if you prefer a game that *looks* less demanding, I'm able to play Broken Sword 5 on it with no trouble at all. Broken Sword 5 looks way better than this Grim Fandango Remaster and, yet, I can't run the latter because of the devs' laziness and some stupid technicality that should have been avoided in the first place.

Again, most (please note, MOST, not ALL) of the Grim Fandango fans are not "keeping up with the times" and buying every GPU that'll get outdated in 2 years just so they can play the next annual Call of Battlefield Creed Cry: Elder Scrolls Edition re-hash on 4K with their Alenwares and their gaming mouse-gadgets and whatnot. Most of us have humble machines that tend to do the job of playing the games we want to play, and Grim Fandango doesn't look like the graphic powerhouse that would burn our GPUs or our RAM or our processors to the ground. I don't think Double Fine knew who their target audience was, exactly.

Christ, didn't know I was going to spark a PC slag off. I was just making an observation. If it hasn't crashed for you, and you have the worlds best super computer, then I'm happy for you.

My PC isn't massively out of date (to me anyway) and runs every game I throw at it. I don't think my game freezing when I enter the inventory a "your computer cant run this game" error. Well the inventory screen froze... I could still move the mouse pointer...

I suggest you respond to all of the other threads on here that are reporting issues, suggesting they get a new computer. They could do with the helpful insight.
I got a notification saying you replied to my post when I have been agreeing with you this whole time... :/

Are you sure that was directed at me? :O

no, not directed at you at all..... maybe my computer isn't good enough to handle replies on a forum now!

I think it does show you that as you were the last to type something. Could be wrong. Anyway, wasn't directed at you.

Tried updating your graphic card drivers it's probably the thing that gives the most problem to people. Especially opengl render engines older graphic card drivers had often very buggy support for opengl.
yep. I do look after my PC. Nvidia 347.09 for my 2 Geforce GTX 480s in sli.

Like I said right at the top, its only crashed a couple of times, but the PS4 version felt a lot more stable. The PC version was still good.

Not having an auto save built in is a pain for both versions.
