TethtorilB1: Sorry, but Direct3D11.dll is missing from your folder.
Since you have dll's and exe's 'hidden' it should show up as "Direct3D11" just like "Direct3D" does in your x64 folder.
When you start the game from Galaxy it runs therefore in 64bit Dx9.

GlorFindel: If you say so, I am not that tech savvy to disagree. And have no way/knowledge to check what version is running.
But there definitely is Direct3D11.dll in Grim Dawn folder.
Hi again GlorFindel.

It seems you are either missing multiple .dlls, required to run the game, or you removed/hidden them.
Either way your input is not particularly hellpful in this case.

Regards.

Sorry for some misinformation. DLLs are there, both Direct3D.dll and Direct3D11.dll and in both folders (Grim Dawn and x64)
The DLLs you are talking about (d3d9.dll, d3d10.dll and d3d11.dll) are in windows/system32 folder.
The problem is that the game, as to say Grim Dawn.exe is not using d3d11.dll and Direct3D11.dll; which I know since I checked with Process Explorer.

This is really ridiculous, 64bit game using DirectX9; fix this GOG, ASAP!

Hi yet again GlorFindel.

You don't need to worry about it. It is a matter for the Crate developers and there is no reson for you to look around your game files. Everything should be fine.

Have fun playing.

Hello to you as well!
I am not worried at all; not that kinda guy; since the game runs smoothly with no problems; but it's just a little weird.
Anyone has confirmation if the issue has been aknowledged by the development team?

May get a dev response soon, hopefully:

These dll's were missing for me in the Steam version as well.

Hi all.

With the release of build version 1.1.1.0 (25-26/03/2019), the "x64" subfolder contains a DX11.dll and the game does now run on DX11, both in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This is also confirmed in the thread "bengeddes" has posted a link for, above.

Cheers.

Quite a mess, really...

So can the game now run on DirectX9? Or only on DirectX11?

Hi Karavox.

If your OS and GPU support DX11 then the game will run on DX11 by default.
The link below can provide in-depth information about identifying whether your combination of software and hardware is DX11 capable.
http://solidlystated.com/hardware/list-of-directx-12-and-directx-11-compatible-video-cards/
Any GPU released later than the ones listed, does support DX11/DX12 as a standard.
Otherwise the game will run on DX9 by default.
If you wish to force the game to run on DX9, you will have to delete the "Direct3D11.dll"s located in the "Grim Dawn" folder, for the 32-bit version and/or in the "x64" subfolder, for the 64-bit version.

That's exactly what I wanted to know, thank you.
Tested a while with DX11 and my PC will be much louder with this version. In DX9 my PC runs much quieter. I thought DX11 is better optimzed than DX9? I see no graphical differences between the versions......

GPU: R9 280X (Sapphire)
CPU: i5 6600k
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz

Edit:
GPU Driver: AMD 19.3.3

Don't forget to run the CPU-Affinity.exe before launching GD, it greatly helps.
