I have played the first few quests and got myself a rucksack so as to carry more items but is there a bank/home stash point, or do I find this later ?

It is in Devil's Crossing. After finishing the first quest you gain access to the prison. Take the stairs to the left and talk to the person you see there. He manages your stash
