Though I did have quite a few crashes lately, so something got probably corrupted.

It appears these aren't proper patches, they're the entire game DL all over again.
Dumb! The change log is minuscule, shouldn't be a full DL...

I just downloaded the patch and it deleted my character. I'd be careful.

I let the Galaxy client do his magic, all worked out fine so far.

Still odd, Steam people are talking about a 200MB ish patch.

Yesterday evening I saw 1.0.0.9 in my library. I was a little surprised that there wasn't just a 1.0.0.9 patch but a whole installer. Anyway, I downloaded the installer and install the game without to uninstall 1.0.0.8 version. Everything was fine untill I ran the launcher... Then an error message appeared that Windows can't run the game because *dll-s associated with launching this version are missing. Then I've uninstalled the whole game (keeping saves and profile) and installed it (1.0.0.9) again. Now it seems OK. Still have some crashes (I've send the crash reports). Anyway, a at least my game progress is keeped. Previously, I updated 1.0.0.5 -> 1.0.0.8 without unistallin older version and everything was just fine.

According to someone from Grim Dawn staff: "We talked to GOG and that appears to be the intended way to install this patch. With the number of patches the game had, they decided to consolidate it all. I believe the incremental patches will continue with future updates though."

So, it's not Crate that forced a full re-DL, it was gog. :/

I needed to uninstall and then re-install for 1.0.0.9 to work.
My characters stayed intact, no problem there.

I had some crashes when trying to start the game, and here is what worked for me, maybe it also works for somebody else if they encounter this problem:
- downloaded through GOG downloader the game would crash on start unless Galaxy is de-installed
- downloaded and started through Galaxy the game works for me

Strangely enough at the end of the installation from GOG downloader, Galaxy would open.
So something is going on there.

But yeah, final solution for me was to install and play through Galaxy directly. Even starting from the desktop icon created through Galaxy doesn't work.

Recommended by one of Crate staff was to reinstall vc_redist 2015.

Un- and re-installed the pack. Didn't really fix anything, unfortunately.

Remove "d3d9.dll" from the Grim Dawn folder. That help?
