abbayarra: With GOG.com you own the games(they can't take the game away).
With STEAM you license the games(they can remove the game at any time from you).
That is made very clear in the terms that no one reads.
I am sorry, but that is wrong. If you buy a game on both GOG or Steam, you only ever buy a license. If you actually bought the game so that you own it, you would have all rights to it (distribution, changes to the code, etc.). All software you will ever buy as a consumer will only be a license for said software.
There being no DRM does not impact that fact; it merely guarantees you that your license won't expire, unless you lose access to the installer.
