Seeing as I dread the thought of having to buy my games elsewhere (Amazon) instead of here, I would like to know if we'll ever see Gothic 3? I wish gog had as many games as steam because we need to give them some serious competition!...

Also, will we see anymore new releases anytime soon?
Damn you gog, now I'm spoiled!

Gothic 3 currently sells for more than $10 on Steam and the like so we probably won't see it here until it goes down in price and/or GOG adds a new price point. The price limitations and lack of DRM will inevitably discourage some publishers from releasing their titles here.

There are new releases almost every week and they are then listed on the front page rotation in order of release. You can follow the releases externally through email, RSS and whatnot (as well as through the forums and IRC of course).

Bankruptcy of games publisher, JoWood, will also complicate situation. While game developer has stated that Gothic right were only licenced to JoWood and will return to them around time Risen 2 is released, it does not nessesarily mean that selling rights of Gothic 2 & 3 will go to them as well. There's also the fact that GOG has no one to negotiate with until they know who aquires or inherits JoWood's remains. In worst case Gothic 3 will be thrown into copyright limbo and pulled from all DD services.
Direct2drive has Gothic III Gold for $20.
What's the problem?

Yes, and Gothic 3 is also $13.00 at Amazon, yet I simply prefer gog, but if I had to, I would have to go with Amazon before I would go with steam, D2D has too many conflicts with SDK, Mods and future patches with their games in general, (Not to mention their DRM) so that's not really an option for me... So the matter is mainly a question of content rather than price.

Thanks though, for the tip. But it looks like I'll most likely go with Amazon, or steam (Their DRM not so bad, but still only if no other choice) depending on my patience.
