I got a "where is the guru?" error. Something about a memory access violation.

What? I paid for this and the game installed fine but won't run.

Caused an "Exception_Access_Violation."

I downloaded all three files. the two .BIN files and the .exe. The File Integrity checker didn't find any issues.

I would really like to play this game.

This error happens when the game can't see enough memory. There are several possibilities for why this is happening.

The first thing to try is installing the Gothic 3 Community Patch 1.74. This has numerous fixes the official version lacks and might resolve this issue for you.

I am downloading it from here:

now.

Thank you for your kind help with this. So far the community members of GOG have been great.

I have over 15 GB of memory free on my computer. Plenty of space.

It is still broken. even after installing patch 1.74. Same error message.

So I wasted money on a broken game. how many other games on GOG are broken I wonder?

I don't want to spend any more money on broken products.

That's, unless I'm mistaken, hard drive space not memory you know. How much memory does your computer have? Also what's your operating system?

As has been stated on the main board - your computer is clearly not up to the minimum system requirements for this game. Please do not go on about broken products not working and poor service from GOG when it is not their fault.
