When talking to NPC's, the Hero's dialog is routinely interrupted or ignored by the NPC's, who just keep talking over it. It is getting really frustrating, and has been present over multiple reinstallations even to new directories. I have some mods installed, the System Pack/playerkit, 60FPS mod, ThielHater's texture mod, and Freddy's Texture Pack, the last of which I just uninstalled for other reasons and the dialog problem is still there.

I have yet to try on the Steam version to see if I can avoid the issue, since the Steam version is glitchy in a number of other ways.

Suggestions?
GOG won't let me link to a video I made, unfortunately, and I don't really know the rules about that. If it helps, I've got a video just called "Gothic dialog interrupt bug" on YouTube, username morgannin03.

Actually, I MAY have figured this out... I had Mud following me for humor's sake, and also because (for my walkthrough) I wanted to be able to show my viewers all of his dialog. Unfortunately, I think the bug is happening because his script to try and talk to the Hero is causing problems when I'm already in a dialog with another NPC. So in other words, it's Mud who's interrupting me, not the character I'm talking to...

The inability to post links is due to low reputation. A rep of 7 (I think) is needed to be able to post links, though you should be able to get that rep quite soon, if you participate in the forums.

You can always omit the http:// part of the url and post the rest of it though.

P.S. Welcome to the forum.
I also realize that this didn't post as a "question" thread, which I thought I had selected. Otherwise I would mark this as solved. Anyway, thanks for the welcome.
Good old Mud, doing his job thoroughly even after 13 years! :P

p.s. Glad you figured it out.
