Been a while, but I believe I remember. There is a locked door in a basement area with an orc guard standing next to it. Pick the lock (the guard is apparently blind :) ) and inside is a key (among other things).

If memory serves me right, its near the shaman working area where you are tasked with finding some refined sulpher for the ranking shaman there.
