When I download the updated installer I get an error message with that files are corrupt when I try to install the game. This happens when I down using the downloader or direct from browser. Any help would be great.

This seems to be a general problem (with installer 2.0 that is) and GOG is aware of it, and working on a solution. There are some threads in General forums more or less related to your issue.

I guess you either need to have some patience or contact Customer Support (or PM JudasIscariot I guess).

what are you talking about ?

i have the same issue , never got this prbblem with any of the v.2.0 installers before

according to the message displayed it's more likely a file corruption , server side , because i downloaded them through my browser & checked via my the downloader.

if the downloader sees a different file (hash) , it redownload it , that were not he case.

and for the record ; the md5 of each files :

d6307d656138d3f1d17368095f5d5155 *setup_gothic3_2.0.0.16.exe

That's exactly why I don't use the GOG downloader - its been a mess since day one. Use the three part method (the three links - it works.

I used the Downloader to download all three files and ran the install with the integrity check option enabled and everything went OK.

File corruption could happen for any number of reasons. If you do have a problem with the Downloader please do post in the stickied Downloader thread in General Discussion so that our downloader programmers are aware of it. Thanks :D

can u post the md5 of each files ?

for the record the downloader has been used just for checking, not downloading....

edit :

screenshot of the error :
http://y.lebrun.free.fr/divers/Gothic3.jpg

downloader or browser the error is the same. -> it's not related to the downloader for once.

i can't even go through the integrity check , because the error is throwing when i attempt to start the installer :(

Hi,

I have the same issue, whether I use lgogdownloader or plain browser download I get th exact same MD5 hashes as DyNaer above.

I have used many v2 installers, and while they have known issues under Wine (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32451 mainly), those are known and they're workarounds.

This issue is different, the installer detects some corruption almost immediately and aborts installation, leaving no choice to the user.
У меня аналогичная проблема :/

well the bug you mention is with Wine

i rather think the news installers aren't 100% compatible / or bug free with Wine, but that's just my opinion.

I think gog target is windows for a windows installer.

BUT i understand the fact some people want to run a game inder an Unix environnement, if the Mac installer isn't yet provided (if you're under MacOSX.)

Now it's possible i missed something ... since i only use windows...

Judas , just mixed up Gothic 3 & Gothic 3 EE :D

since there're a v2 installers for both , i tested the v2 installer for Gothic 3 EE -> i don't get a problem like the once mentioned by the OP & myself.

Yes, I mentionned it for completeness, as that's the only environment I can test the installers in; But this was only to explain that the bug this thread is about is not the same problem.
