so i got gothic 2 and im having some problems, how do i play the game without night of the raven? it seems to be automatically installed....
and my second problem is, why doesnt my mouse work in the main menu? i mean i can click and use the wheel but why is their no mouse icon?

To install just Gothic 2, click the options button at the bottom when you launch the installer.
As for the mouse cursor, use the keyboard or mouse wheel to navigate the menus. The cursor not being there it's just the way it works and not a problem at your end.

Gothic II has a couple of intro videos, but certain conditions will make them appear black (the same can happen to the FMV cutscenes during the game, but fortunately there are only a few of those). The intro videos are just the logos of the developer and publisher, so you aren't missing out on anything particularly important.
You can disable the intros if you want to; just go to the videos folder (_work\Data\Video in the Gothic II install directory) and delete or rename Logo1.bik and Logo2.bik. After that they will no longer play and the game will go directly to the menu screen when you start it.
