Hello all!

I recently covered this wonderful project on my YouTube channel. It's a mod that brings Gothic 2 into DirectX11, and beautifies the game in a big way! Please watch the video and read the article I posted in the description. This is extremely exciting for Gothic fans and a huge, awesome mod that we should all be thankful for!

Check it out and let us know what you think! :)

There are a couple of steps needed to get this working:

1. Go to the system folder in the installation folder and make a copy of Gothic.exe called Gothic2.exe.
2. Install Report-Version: Gothic2.exe 2.6.0.0.
3. Install the latest version of the mod.
4. Run the game with Gothic2.exe (you can update your shortcuts for convenience).
this is really quite something. going to put off my first playthrough until this gets to a fully playable state
Thanks for letting us know!
I'll try it out later today.

The Gothic 2 version should still be the same, or at least i did not receive an update notification.

I followed your steps and im able to install and play but all the voice acting is gone. Any idea why?

This might be because you need the system pack if you have an international version. There is a link in the DX11 link above.
edit: I just followed the above steps plus added the system pack and everything seems to be OK.

It looks awesome I need to remember this for the next time i play Gothic 2. :D
Yep! It does look awesome.

I'm hoping to continue my Let's Play of Gothic 2 soon using this renderer. The creator is still ironing out some bugs that remain, but it's very stable and able to be played right now.
This looks amazing!
