Summit: It's all about voice acting. Polish version has superb voice acting and translation. I only bought GoG version because the newest mods don't work with the polish one.

Got a youtube vid or something? I'm curious. Really like the English voice acting though.

Well, I want buy Gorhic 1 and 2 here. Theoretically. Cause I also think about german's Gothic Universe box. May be not now, but shurely I'll do it. And if there will be german version or just german voice pack that will be great! Very great! So if gog.com can do it so please do it.

I'm actually not from Germany, but played through the german version and I thought the voice acting was really good, great for practice if you like german :p

So any chance of uploading the german language files, GOG? I would really like to practice my german with this game. :)

That'll make the game a little more German. :P

Also the In Extremo patch will put in the performance sequence for Ch. 2 (while keeping the rest of the game English).
Thanks for the In Extremo thing. I'm German and I own an older CD Version. But the GOG Version runs better on my PC but lacks the In Extremo concert. So now I can just combine them together :D Thx!

Im looking to buy this game, played it before in both german and english.. but when i look at gothic 3 specs here on GOG i see it says language english/german is this because its can be set to either language? i want to run it in german as i find it most immersive with the game :) @ion00 why u say yay, finally to GOG did u get it to german lang? :D

Yes, GOG's Gothic 3 had the German-language version added a while back.

All the Gothic/Risen games on GOG have German language versions. Risen 2 uses the same installer for all languages (the language can be changed with Settings.exe in the Start menu or installation folder).

Is there a way to have German voice acting, but with English text. You know, like in undubs? Personally, I quite liked the English voices in Gothic 1, so the second should be okay with me. It's just something I might want to try in a second playthrough.
