Hey, guys!

I have run into another problem, but this time with Gothic 2.

I am not able to get to the Earth Dragon, and I'll demonstrate the problem: Youtube

Any ideas?
This is not like in Gothic 1, where unlocked FPS screwed up climbing. Or at least I hope it is not. It's not very likely, because I've played the game for 60+ hours and climbed everywhere without any problems.

Getting a bit desperate. Even tried to punch myself up the damn thing.
Would really like to hear how any of You resolved this issue, if You had it.

EDIT: So... As usual, I figure things out not long after I ask for help.
I shall demonstrate it with a video, so everyone who experience the same thing can have at least one solution: Youtube

1. See the angle (0:30 in the video) I'm approaching the "slope".* It's the best way to start sliding upwards!
2. If you don't slide up right away, but start "hanging midair" like me, wait for character to reach the lowest point and press escape.
3. Wait for a moment.
4. Press escape again and it'll slingshot You.
* It seems that having a spell scroll equipped makes things easier!

Just repeat it as long as necessary.

The player's head should go/look upwards if an edge is detected.
Sometimes it helps to walk (by default Left Shift) back or strafe small steps until you can climb.

Thank You for Your reply.

I did exactly that. I know that being as close to the wall/cliff/whatever as possible may cause my character to be knocked a bit back. I've played the game for 60+ hours (not counting previous play-throughs, although not on the gog version, but the original), and I feel comfortable saying that I'm an expert in climbing. I spent almost 2 hours trying to jump up there. It almost feels like it was not meant to be climbed. It's a bug, and I do not know what caused it.
I did, however, try to find a place where my character would look upwards. I spent good 15 minutes trying to find the right position but never did.

it might be caused by high fps,
got the same problem, limiting the game to ~60fps solved it for me :)

It definitely is. Didn't think of it at the time.

This was way more fun though, and I found a great way to reach some interesting places.
