I do not usually post on the internet because most people are jerks or only want to insult others. I must say this forum has very kind replies and discussions always. Is this community mostly from Europe? I really enjoy coming here and seeing positive thoughts and helpful posts. These traits are not found on forums in the USA.

I wanted to just say thanks and your posts reflect well on gog and gothic

I don't think nationality has anything to do with it - I believe it just happens that people appreciative of older games tend to have a more...erm, Mature outlook on life.

In other words we're old farts "kickin' it old-school," when the internet wasn't full of peds, pervs, and pricks! ;^)

*Not saying the 20 something crowd are bad, just that they weren't around in the beginning, and like most things that start to get popular, usually gets cheapened by the masses. There are still great forums out there, but for the most part you still have to lurk and see what's what.

*(We were twenty-something, and were still decent folks back then, so age ain't an issue as much as being around a long time for the inevitable change!)

I think it might be due to the subject treated here at GoG, that is old games.
Given the age they have, this site tends to attract people that either grew up with them or is interested in these old gems, so chances are the maturity level of the average member is high.
And age=/maturity (I'm in the twenty-something age bracket myself :p )*

*couldn't resist taking a lighthearted jab at the post above mine :D

A jab at what?
There was no need. Don't misunderstand, I got the joke, (I'm not offended at all (^_^) it's just that it's redundant..No worries though!

Well, thinking about it, yes it was redundant.
On the bright side, this is yet another good example of the GoG community: I've seen places where a simple discussion like this would not be possible.

Lol, imagine, anywhere else and our little exchange would've devolved into a flame war!
Another testament to the greatness that is gog! Again, forums like this should be the norm, I always favored reason over conflict anyways!
