I'm trying to uninstall Gothic 3 but I get the following error message:

Runtime Error (at -1:0):

Cannot Import dll:<utf8>C:\Games\Gothic 3\GameuxInstallHelper.dll.

I tried running the uninstaller in Windows XP compatibility mode and as an administrator but no dice. Also tried uninstalling in safe mode.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

I checked the game folder and there is no GameuxInstallHelper.dll file in there. Should there be?

Hoping somebody can help me fix this.

lefthandmade: Yeah that's how I always uninstall software. I also tried running the uninstaller directly from the game folder but I get the same error message.

lordhoff: Oh well, it was a thought - seems the supplied with the game uninstalls often have problems.

How much would you lose if you did a restore to prior to loading the game?

Arkose: I'd try installing the game again over top of it, and then uninstalling again. That should add the file it's wanting.
