Hi guys,

I'm trying to uninstall Gothic 3 but I get the following error message:

Runtime Error (at -1:0):

Cannot Import dll:<utf8>C:\Games\Gothic 3\GameuxInstallHelper.dll.

I tried running the uninstaller in Windows XP compatibility mode and as an administrator but no dice. Also tried uninstalling in safe mode.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

I checked the game folder and there is no GameuxInstallHelper.dll file in there. Should there be?

Hoping somebody can help me fix this.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Have you tried going into "control panel" and uninstalling via the Microsoft software?

Yeah that's how I always uninstall software. I also tried running the uninstaller directly from the game folder but I get the same error message.

Oh well, it was a thought - seems the supplied with the game uninstalls often have problems.

How much would you lose if you did a restore to prior to loading the game?
I'd try installing the game again over top of it, and then uninstalling again. That should add the file it's wanting.

Yes I appreciate the help a lot. Thanks. I would lose a lot to be honest because it's been a long time since I installed the game.

I'll try this and see if it does the trick. Thanks.
