Hi, first off a little disclaimer - I love you guys, I have bought both the Witcher EE and 18 games here so far and all of them work great, EXCEPT Gorky 17, which is the game I was looking forward to the most of all.
Hence my question to you - Metropolis is part of CDP, and GOG is part of CDP, right? Would not it be possible to spare a few employees of Metropolis to fix the rendering problems of Gorky 17? I mean, they should have access to the source, right?
I have GTX280, latest drivers on everything, latest directX, Visual C++, superoptimized WinXP SP3, about 70 other games installed ranging from Stonekeep through Fallout to Crysis Warhead, and ALL of them work flawlessly EXCEPT FOR GORKY 17, aaargh : ).
So, is it possible, pretty please?
I already described the rendering problems I have in other threads, but just to be sure - I had to disable HW zoom to fix one corruption, and there is now the other one with some grey lines flashing over the screen when fighting the large monsters (Garcia, second ones you encounter).
Yeah I agree that this game could use some fixes on the graphical bug area. The game seems to work fine other than 2-3 pretty serious graphical bugs. I know all of us fans would really appreciate some fixes :)
ditto...
Yeah, that would be great.
I concur.
I, too, was really looking forward to this one. Sadly, I've set it aside for the moment, as I can't see anything reliably unless I run in Software mode - and the choppy audio in Software is really painful.
I'm really hoping they fix it.
I have the game, but it is set aside until I finish another one.
That said, I played it a bit last night. I can ignore the problems, because it feels so darn addictive (and I've grown up with under powered machines that run games choppy like this), however issues are around and it would be several kinds of awesome if solved/updated.
Nice polite post.
Let's hope something can come of this.
Like others, I've left this game alone hoping that someone really clever might find a fix.
:)

Yes and no ;) It's not that easy, but believe me, we are trying to fix it.

HA! Thanks, that is really all I wanted to know. You guys are awesome, even if it proves impossible to fix.Because you, unlike Bethesda for example, treat us with respect and tell us what is going on.
Now, where was that broken VATS fallout 3 forum.......

I agree. It's nice to see that a company actually attempts to fix problems in their products instead of hoping they just go away.
Yep very true. Customer Service is something you don't see in the gaming industry much anymore. What I find even more impressive is that you offer this level of professionalism and service to customers for games you didn't even make. Good job and thanks a lot! :)
When I try to launch the game (Gorky 17) nothing happens. I selected run as administrator
Agreed, fixes would be most welcome
