I used to have a version of this that came with a geforce 3 titanium edition, the graphics/textures were slightly sharper in places then with the regular version. Looking at the screenshots i'm unsure if the gog version includes this graphical enhancement does it? If not, is there a way to acquire it for this version?

The fan patch does the same and more. Why not just install that.

Yes. just update the game from 1.4 to the 1.497 patch. Its from 'https://www.giantswd.org/' the guys there have been supporting the game for ages. They list the patch as 1.5 patch but it is infact 1.497.

Also if you want to make it appear like it did on release just go to the Bin foler and remove the arpfix.gzp file from the folder.
