Does anybody got it running on Linux (wine)? There is a WineHQ bug 32037 "Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams: Crashes on startup".

I had a search through the Giana forum (there is a Linux thread discussing this)
http://project-giana.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=137&start=50

People posted this link, saying it explains the fix:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32037

The devs commented in a reddit AMA here:

Hope that helps
I have it running on mint 14, wine 1.5

Installed 32-bit 1.5 wine install via play on linux.
Then installed Xact and WMP9 (requires 32-bit wine version installed)
At this point the game should run using the gsLauncher.exe

The only quirk is the program has to be killed manually otherwise it may not restart, and you may lose your cursor until its killed. Easy way to do that is use Play on Linux and right click the icon and select close program. It will tell you it crashes but that is OK. At least it is closed.

I also get much better performance in windowed mode. Maybe due it being smaller than my full res(<-looks like), but no matter what it just causes less issues.

***Edit
Sad to report that I can't get passed 1-4 I think. There is a part where it looks like you into a castle and each time I get to it the game crashes.

WMP10 also works and does not require a 32-bit version of wine.

I don't have either of those issues using wine 1.5.23 on Arch Linux 64-bit (with 64-bit wine and WMP10). So at least those don't happen for everyone.
Okay, got it running on Ubuntu 12.04 64 Bit with a custom prefix - like described in WineHQ:

Project Giana
A new version with graphic engine changes was released. I am unsure if this effects the game compatibility in any way, but it might be worth revisiting wine success stories with the current wine versions. I may or may not get around to it, but if anyone is running the new version it may be good to weigh in as to if the game is still in good working order.

Works fairly well in clean arch32 wineprefix with xact_jun2010 and wmp9 installed via winetricks, Giana version 1.1.2, and wine 1.7.7.

In my system I had to set shader quality to low, but it is probably a problem of my drivers.
