I just want to play my games, please.

My first problem came with gog galaxy, wich takes forever to intals despise being only 232Mb (almost half of a day) and after that came a even worst thing: downloading the games... I have a very fast internet and anything I download takes no time, but the games with GOG Galaxy seem to cap at 0.5Mb LIKE C'MON.

If there's any way to solve this, I ask to please teach me. I just want to play my games

a network tunnel is the only way to improve your game downloads from Gog, as the root issue is how fast they send the file and YOUR internet speed doesn't really mater

the other part of Galaxy installing slow is down to the computer at your end and I'd be inclined to look into that first
I was just browsing the forum with the same issue.
The download with GoG Galaxy is extremely slow at about 0.1-0.5mb/s, but if I use Firefox to log in to GoG.com and download the offline installer, it goes from 600kb/sc to 1.2mb/sec.

For that matter, I usually use Downthemall to download multiple files in a queue, but since the change to WebEx I can't choose that when downloading a file from a website like GoG that obscures the source or uses a button as opposed to letting me right click and choose "save as..."
Any suggestions on how I can redownload the games? I had to reformat and reinstall Windows from scratch, and I forgot to back up half my game library.
Any idea how I could set it to download the games in series instead of parallel?

really? do you really know what is network tunneling or just read it somewhere? are you insisting that curling or wgetting a file is THAT slow so you have to reduce security of your network by using tunelling for that simple action?

look for other tools like python download script (for offline installers) or library managers like Playnite. try Playnite and if it works stick to it for now. there should be no reason for your PC or network to download at such low speed. it's software related issue.

I have to agree with you. Steam downloads my games at a typical speed of 6-8 mbs (as do my MMO's when they update), while Galaxy downloads at 0.1-0.4 Mbs. Crazy slow in my opinion.

I'm using Galaxy to download the update and it's the same speed. To make it even more fun, the server keeps throwing an error so I have to check on the download every 5-10 minutes to restart it. I understand that the latest Cyberpunk 2077 patch is huge and a lot of people are trying to get it, but this is ridiculous.

Hey! My first post here and I came to bitch. Go me!
