James175: A recent update to GoG Galaxy mentioned that it now supports gaming subscriptions. I notice that all of these subscriptions are all Steam, or rather, non-GoG games. Beyond that I can't really tell what a subscription actually means or does.
Any ideas?
Games you don't own but that you can "rent" as part of a subscription.
For example, Xbox Game Pass gets you access to Microsoft games and a couple more by paying 10 bucks a month.
Same with Origin Access, uPlay+ (people actually use this one?), etc.
As far as I know the only Steam "subscription" is Family Share, as in, you get access to a family member's library as long as they are not playing themselves. It is free, but GOG lists it as a subscription because at the end of the day those games are not your propriety.
