"C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\" then go into the uplay plugin folder
Look for and open "consts.py"
Lines 15-16 change them to the commented ones above from the quote and hit connect again then should work.
No credits to me just a re-comment for those that came in late like me to avoid having to go page to page.

Thanks for those that helped with the quick fix listed above.

For those that don't want to open folders and edit files, you are never alone lol so I made a lazy fix exe that will do it for you. :) enjoy.

Decided to comment in this spot since I can't delete it ^^^^^^
If you retro collect/emulate I built this little thing, still way early and I only code as a hobby.
IGame2 - My Retro
Lets you add your own Images then link them to games such as exe,gba,nds,n64,3ds, and etc. all in one place.
Has beta controller support to select games via the application and launch them from there.
If posting this here is not allowed, please let me know ASAP I will remove.
Will be updating it over time, no option to set the size of the pictures yet but will be added.

Nothing impressive, but I'm not likely going to promote it anywhere so I figured a comment here wouldn't hurt.
